Man Charged With Robbery Faces New Murder Charges
It is being reported that 53-year-old John Wesley Ewell, who was already been charged murdering a couple during a home robbery in Hawthorne, is now facing murder charges for two separate cases as well.
On October 22, Ewell is being charged with beating and strangling 69-year-old Leamon Turnage and his wife 57-year-old Robyn while robbing their home. Now prosecutors are claiming that two more murders have occurred at his hands during similar circumstances.
Both victims were found in their homes. Hanna Morcos found face down in his Hawthorne apartment, while Denise Roberts was found bound and gagged in her Los Angeles home.
Prosecutors are currently deciding whether or not to pursue the death penalty agains Ewell.
