Early Thursday morning on October 28, a registered sex offender who had gone missing after cutting off his ankle bracelet, turned himself in on live television. After cutting off the monitoring device with scissors at a gas station on Monday morning, Valentino Rodriquez Jr. fled and was reported as missing.

When he saw KTLA reporter, Eric Spillman, however, he made the decision to give himself up on live telecast. Police arrived shortly after and took him into custody once more.
