Los Angeles County Teen Suspected of Fatally Stabbing School Friend

When 17-year-old Jeremy Sanchez failed to attend school on Wednesday April 18, administrators called his father, causing him to become concerned for his son’s safety. Tragically, the Sanchez family saw every parent’s worst nightmare become reality, as their popular teenage son was found dead near the San Gabriel River Trail. Two of Jeremy’s friends were searching the area with their schoolmate’s father, when one of them make the devastating discovery. In a tragic twist, that same 16-year-old boy was arrested the following day on suspicion of murdering Jeremy Sanchez by stabbing him repeatedly.

Although the accused has been taken into custody at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall, where he awaits arraignment, his age means that no further details have been released. However, it has been confirmed that the two boys were friends, and that police were prompted to search the murderer’s home by certain aspects of his behavior. The search reportedly uncovered substantial evidence, used to facilitate the minor’s arrest.
