Thieves Make Off With 8,000 Disney Tickets and Wristbands in Stolen Trailer

In the morning of Wednesday April 19, a white double-axle Wells Fargo cargo trailer was stolen from the parking lot of the California Future Farmers of America Foundation, by thieves who apparently did not know what was inside the truck. The truck was packed up and ready to set off for Anaheim, where a four-day event for high-school students is due to take place, offering job skills training, various workshops and, perhaps the main attraction, a private event at Disney’s California Adventure park. The truck which was stolen from the Galt parking lot contained 8,000 Disney tickets, intended for the youngsters attending the 90th Annual California Future Farmers of America conference.

While the truck has not yet been recovered, nor the opportunistic thieves identified, Disney has voided and reissued the tickets and wristbands, rendering the cargo worthless.

Accused of Grand Theft Auto? You Need an Excellent Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney

Once the stolen Wells Fargo cargo trailer is recovered, and the thieves who liberated it from the parking lot are identified, they are likely to face charges of grand theft auto. This rather grand sounding title refers to the theft of a vehicle worth more than $400, whereas a vehicle valued at less than this would carry a charge of petty theft. Grand theft auto, as a felony offense, could see you facing time in prison, ordered to pay hefty fines, restitution, and more.

Assuming you do not wish to simply accept the charges and take your chances on sentencing, which we are sure you do not, you should seek legal representation from an outstanding Los Angeles criminal defense attorney as soon as possible following your arrest. A charge of grand theft auto in California could be punishable by up to three years in state prison, while grand theft carries a potential 16 months imprisonment.

Okabe & Haushalter criminal defense lawyers are highly skilled at navigating the California legal system, through both employing our own aggressive and comprehensive techniques, and anticipating the prosecution’s next moves to help reach a positive outcome for you.
